There are so many interpretations one could put on this piece, some amusing,some...quite disturbing[]!!But,oh,the skintones are marvellous...it's interesting to me the way you depict the hollow of the eye socket...with [apparently] a fairly limited range of tones...and your eyes are not hypershiny...they look startlingly real
Aside from your amazing depictions of reflective surfaces...the real question I am left with by this piece...is why is he suffocating with plastic, when the sea is so nearby?...my second conclusion was...it's not his own hand?
Your work continues to intrigue me,I'll have to watch/stalk you now!!

You have been taking on some daring sizes to accomplish here what you normally do in much larger pieces. It has the look of a portion of one of your larger paintings while standing on its own as a feta complete. Good job.

Startling imagery together with bold coloring make for another fine composition. It also maintains the continuity of your other work: static and undefined backgrounds, unexpected movement from outside the picture plane, staged subjects frozen in a moment in time, defining ethereal effects, and literal representations of trance like situations.

Denis thank you so much. This was originally going to be a much larger piece, but got chopped a few times because of composition reasons. I really had a bit of fun on this one although ran into some good technical challenges, but never mind this. I am a little concerned that my work is becoming a little scattered at the moment. I really appreciate such a smart and analysis.
Best,
Jason

Stunning work. I can't help but feel a little disturbed by it though, quite a bit! So it's definitely powerful

hes certainly got a look of fear in his eye..but having said that, im not sure it is fear.. i can only speculate to what he is supposed to be thinking. the piece certainly does prompt us to ask that very question.. such a direct gaze, you cant but help look into his eye and ask.

well done with this one, its certainly grabbd my attention..
