You are truly an inspiration, what tips do you give me to boost my motivation in painting everyday, it just takes a lot of time to start painting... but still i get frustrated every day when i don't practise!

Thanks, but I definitely don't paint all the time or everyday, it's more of a hobby at this point. I guess just don't worry about how long it takes and just paint when you feel like it.

I'm really fascinated by your works, I've never had the chance to work with oils, but because of the length of time it takes for them to dry enough for the next layer, I know I'd easily get deterred from every finishing one piece!
I've done most of my works in acrylic paints, prismacolour pencils, and most lately, charcoal in what I'm calling "dry painting" simply because I'm not actually drawing the charcoal onto the paper, I'm using brushes with charcoal dust.
Really wonderful work here, and just as much in some of your other works - I can't wait to see more!
Please don't stop posting them, simply because there are a few idiots who just can't handle talent when its presented to them.

Thank you so much! There are ways to speed up and slow down the drying speed. Some colors dry overnight making them good to use as preliminary layers. I will also start off with a faster drying medium in the beginning and then use a slower drying medium for the top layers to achieve more delicate blending. Thanks again!

Lovely gallery, Zach. It is nice to see both your surreal pieces and your hyper-realism pieces.

Really awesome work. In your photo realistic pieces, do you work mostly opaque or with glazes or a mixture of both?

thanks for the comment! I really like your style and subject matter. Keep it up. I start with thin opaque layers that dry fast...then countless layers/glazes that become more transparent and dry slower. Fat over lean.

Thanks! Yeah, the whole fat over lean thing is the most difficult part of oils. I just started working with oils and it seems like everyone has their own interpretation of what it's supposed to mean! hahaha I look forward to seeing more of your work.
