I kind of ran out of steam with this one. It just didn't feel right.I'm happy with these guys though and with any luck I'll figure out how to fix the rest of the picture and hopefully finish it. But for now this is it.

I know how it feels to loose steam, especially if its a long drawn out art projects. But I think on this one you did well for it to be unfinished. If you were to use a little bit of imagination it would seem as if it snowed on the ground but some how missed all the leaves in the tree.
Ether way it still looks great to say the least.

wonderful techniques, their faces are great and the bark is nicely done. As for finishing it... I'm not sure how much area you have to work with, if there's more room in the margins or if this is the size you're stuck with. If you perhaps put something on the left side, such as a standing goblin, it would link the upper group and the lower single? Because that seems to be the problem to me, the top is separate from the bottom. For some reason I can't help but think that a bird would work well in here, a small finch sort to show the scale? Possibly mad that they're in it's tree?

I think it looks fine. Maybe a bit topheavy, like it's going to tip over, so maybe make the bottom half darker?

I think it's because the composition is a bit off. It's cut in three parts that don't really connect with each other yet. There's these three awesome goblins up top, then a yet uninteresting part of the tree and then the goblin all the way below.
I'm not sure how much room you have with the medium you use, but it might work to add a 5th goblin somewhere half way up to connect them or do something cool with the part of tree that's visible to connect them somehow.
Anyway, hope you don't mind me critiquing your work, but I love where this is going already and would like to see it finished one day
