Description I have just started to try out acrylic painting. This was fun to paint, it ended up a little bit too dark but I'm happy with the result. I'm thinking of doing something similar in a big panorama format in the far future.

Thanks! No I have never used oils, thats why I wanted to try acrylics since its so much easier to handle. The canvas(-panels) are 254*203 mm to be exact (10*8 inch). I bought a tubeset with 6 tubes from Winsor and Newton with the colors: azo yellow medium, permanent alizarin crimzon, ultramarine blue, phthalo green (blues shade), yellow ochre and titanium white. For the background I think I mixed the green with a little bit of yellow and some white.

It looks realy cool, and i think the darkness isn't too bad, it gives the scense of a deep forest, plus it is good for the imagination

Thank you. The thing is that I had to lighten it up digitally, irl the painting is a bit darker. Thats something you can't really do traditionally so you have to keep it in mind as you paint.
