Okay first of all! I used to think birdo is a female! But after seeing your yoshi X birdo art I knew birdo would be a female! She does look cute!

Well Birdo can be whatever gender you want. I just draw her as a girl since it's a personal preference of mines and they tend to portray Birdo being a feminine character anyways, especially since Nintendo seems to match her with Yoshi in some of their games.
