Well, I decided to try on the Megaman PC robot masters
To be fair Volt,Dyna and Sonic man both really have a awesome design on them, too bad that game's so weird :/

The force field should probably be kept separate. Because if it's separate Volt can run around with it on.

hummm... is part of the animation. The whole idea it is him generating a kind of force fields that surround him and last for 3 or 5 seconds, and of course on that 3-5 second he can run,jump, etc.

Hm, no. What I mean is that, right now, it's a part of his standing sprite. If it was separated it can be overlapped by any sprite. It'd be easier to use overall.
