The Program of Retaliation and Defense of the Class X, unit number 004, or PRDX-4 in short, and to shorten that even further, just Dex.
Dex is a robot designed by Albert Overbuild, alongside a legion of Entities of Defense designed to protect Crux from the Maelstrom. Of course, if you played the game, you know how that ended up.
In Our Universe, Dex is a member of the Assembly (even though he doesn't have their orange color! ) and he is a pretty valuable asset to them. A glitch in his design gave him, well, a "higher understanding of life" let's say. He's not as sentient as, say, Zane, but he's just there, let me tell you!
