Many years ago, he was given a choice: his beloved wife, or the safety of the kingdom. To save the realm, he was forced to lock his beloved away for all time. Sealed by a spell, untouched by the passing of time, she remains suspended, between life and death. At his death, she will be released, to weep and rage over the cruelness of such a fate.

Each year, on their anniversary, he takes down the glass. There inside, she is so close, but untouchable. Each year, he grows older, while she remains forever young.
