for some reason, this reminds me of Edmund from Narnia when he escaped from Mr. and Mrs. Beaver and his siblings and is going to meet the Witch queen.

I've been thinking like a nut lately and I realized something and I am randomly going to mention this on your page, stranger/friend. The majority of "good pictures" are, in my humble/stupid opinion, SIMPLE, as in details, colors, and composition. The busy works melt my retinas down to my mouth, and I kind of die at the thought: "Dear artist, you did not need to put that much stuff in your artwork." Hell, some detailed works are good, too. ANYWAYS, I REALLY LOVE YOUR PICTURE! Its narrative quality (i.e. the man's facial expression,tree ornate matching the smoke) is simple but dearly beautiful.

I adore the delicate way you use texture overlays. They're so easy to overdo. @_@ The color composition is fantastic here, also -- so dark at the top, and almost pure white by the time you get to the bottom. Lovely.

Wow! So subtle, yet so full of style. It is so beautiful, it has a sort of delicate quality to it. I love his visible 'breath', and the way the tree branches fade into darkness as they ascend. This has a great atmosphere
