Ah, the Midwest. This farm reminds me so much of one that I photographed close to a cemetery where my Grandfather was buried in Wisconsin. I wouldn't call this picture grotesque at all, but I can see where you're coming from. It definitely does have a very eerie feeling! Good shot!

I'm not sure why, but the name seemed to fit. I wanted something aggressive, and to fit the distorted and abandoned feel of the picture.

I like the way it looks like an illustration to me at first, but as my eyes settle into it, I see the beginnings of a sad scenario. Looking this over says to me that somebody's dream failed, though they gave it all they had, likely.
