Collaborative project between *freelancah and me!
It got dragged a bit (half a year or a bit more
).... *freelancah gave me a beautiful volcano-render and I felt so free to paint over it. Then it went back and forth for minimal edits until we got this one here Hope you like it!
By the way, you can get a wallpaper-pack by hitting the download-button. It contains the following sizes:

Facts......
- Original resolution: 5922x3620 (apparently, we cropped it at some point :p)
- Total working time: too much to count, really. freelancah started this back in... March, 2011 (?) or so... and quite a bit of our non-existing free time went onto this piece
- Final PSD-size: 904MB. Should've merged a little more often. Almost killed my computer, haha

I am pretty sure this depends on multiple factors, such as the explosion strength and the location of the surroundings. We certainly saw the eruption quite a bit smaller than Mt. St. Helens

Regarding the sharpness, we actually think it's looking good that way. We have been discussing tons and tons of stuff about this image and what you see there is the consent
I don't think that we'll ever want to change the way it looks, therefore we're too happy about how it is right now

Lol, but in order to have that flight we need to have a plane oh-so conveniently nearby in the case of emergency
And someone who knows how to fly it, those cockpit controls look as confusing as a space shuttle

Looks great, although I think something could have been done more with the smoke! But good job guys, like the sun rays, those are interesting. I like the detail in the trees. Something tells me that the lava should have been brighter in some parts.
