Full view/zoom in for brushstrokes etc.!This cute little bunny was like a practice piece to get me back into oil painting after a long absence - didn't take long to do, and it was really fun and easy-going! Can't wait to do more paintings - I hope you like this one!
The title is inspired by the song by Blur - it's 10 years since the height of Britpop, so I've been re-acquanting myself with them. (Besides, I couldn't think of a good title)

thanks i got give her and anothher rabbitbuffy cos other wise they would hav gone to a pet rescue(the owner coodnt keep em any more) but before i got em they were called treekle and muffin so i thort buffy and willow was better names! buffy died tho...

This is gorgeous! I love the softness of the bunny and how you really have captured its fur so well.. the brushstrokes running in the right direction and with all the different tones of browns adding depth and highlights to the fur.. I wish I could do fur like that, it's a really difficult texture to achieve but you have got it perfectly! I also love how it's eye looks sort of glazed and it's such a pretty rabbit! Awww its so cute

Thanks so much for your long comment, I'm really glad you like it! It is a very pretty rabbit ^^ I actually found fur quite easy to paint, at least in comparison with its alternative, skin (though that is my favourite thing to paint anyway)

Actually I do agree that skin is difficult.. although I haven't ever tried painting skin before.. I find it difficult enough to draw though! But you're so good at painting people so it's no wonder it's your favourite thing to paint!

Painting with heavy strokes is fun, and especially good for painting fur - you should definitely give it a try, as you should oil paints. To me, oils are really easy and watercolours difficult to control

Yeah, watercolours are whole 'nother thing all on its own. I probably won't be able to try out oils (the paints are expensive

this painting is really amazing...i love the shading and highlights in the rabbits fur, making fur look realistic can be really intimidating (or it is to me, at least!)
