This started out as practice with clouds and lighting, hence the unrealistic dark matter formations. I think it's not so bad. What do you think?Related content

The rings on the rightside planet seem too bright behind the planet, imho.

You're right, I probably could done with just the ringed one in the top right... The planets were really just slapped on as an afterthought, to make it more interesting. I think that the next time I work on something I should focus on depth and composition, rather than detail. Thanks for the insight, every little bit helps

Wow, Such a sweet picture. I love the colouring it actually works, everything flows with everything in the picture. I love the detail in it as well. The big eruption thing (sorry if its not an eruption haha) is soo sick!! It looks amazing. I love this picture. What program did you use. Just Terragen?

Actually, I didn't use terragen at all in this picture. Everything is Photoshop brushwork except for the planets, which I reused from older pieces. If you want to see something interesting from terragen, check my "Destrayer of Worlds" black hole picture. I made that black hole with terragen.

Ive used Photoshop for some time now, haha deffintely never specialized in brushwork. Very nice though, wow.!

The nebula is a little boring, put some more structure into it.
The gas planet and the rings are superb, but the left planet seems to be overblended.
The dark matter formations are ok, they should be a bit sharper.

was depressed as hell in combat cause i kept thinking about how little i'm going to see Taptim and cause it was just too much for me...
so, like i said: hopefully after basic training (more like summer camp than army service) i'l get into the medic program ^_^ wish me good luck!

As far as the 'dark matter' that is the best part of the pic, the rings on the planet (upper right one) AWESOME....
