I can go either way, honestly.
But that's the beauty of why Korrasami works so well! If the series had ended with a happily single Korra, hopping on Naga and riding off into the sunset, I would have been fine! As long as she and Asami remained good friends until the very end, that would have been satisfying for me. But after seeing how close the two of them had become over the course of the series, it's not surprising that they would eventually develop romantic feelings for each other.
Well, actually, it was a HUGE surprise for me, because I saw the development in their relationship, but I never imagined it would become canon.
