Description Members of the Ignivirgas class get to be the largest of electrosynthetic organisms, growing almost as tall as Tumtum trees, and living far apart in the Bug Plains and on the edges of Labyrinths.  Their tall stalks act as lightning rods, and they use the energy to produce a peculiar ‘soup’ that is filled with their spores. Many types of Odifauna feed on this soup, and so help to disperse the spores in their droppings.

I once had an idea for a "flower" with spores/seeds/pollen floating on top of a layer of nectar in a little cup. Unfortunately, I never developed the idea any further or even made a picture for it.

It is a surprisingly effective method of reproduction for never having developed on our own planet.
