If you haven't guessed by now, this is a picture of baby Garth and his father, who's name I still don't know.
There's a couple of things to take note of in this, for instance, Garth is already blind in one eye. I don't know, I just think the whole case with being blind in one eye "by accident" is a bit overused, so I figured it'd be better to change things around a bit and make him born blind in one eye. And it would also explain why he doesn't seem to have any problems with depth perception. Also, notice that Garth's dad has lighter will-lines than Garth does in the future- this is because he's not as powerful a will-user as Garth will become.

I had some complications with his dad's story. For instance, I still can't decide whether he's his biological father, or a foster father.
Either way, he isn't from Samarkand OR Albion. He's from an unknown place where the weather is very cold. His home was barren of any history, and he didn't like that very much. An Old Kingdom scholar from Albion named, Garth (of whom he named his son after) told him about places that had many Old Kingdom artifacts. He went to Samarkand to live in a will-user's tower (like the one in Brightwood). Not too long after he arrived, he had suddenly come across an infant (I don't know exactly how yet) and noticed that the little baby was blind in his left eye. It reminded him of himself. He had a severely damaged left eye which he covered with his once useful monocle. He took in the baby and raised him as his own son, naming him after his mentor, and teaching him how to be a will-user.
