Did this picture of my two favorite ponies as a little birthday present to myself. It's been a long time since I've done a picture for myself. It was kinda nice to do that for a change.Did the lines in Illustrator and the painting in PS.

I will be honest about this. This pic not only left me speechless, but its one of the best art pieces of Celestia and Luna that I ever seen. The coloring and shading's real good and they're expressions are so well placed. Awesome work, especially since it was a b-day gift to you made for you.

While I am happy about seeing Luna again (Season 2, Episode 4), I still really wish to see the two interact with eachother. They only have once when Luna was changed back to normal.

Birthday? Then a very wonderful new year to you, times two.
I love their back-to-back arrangement for the portrait, especially with their adoring glances and pretty smiles. The sisters are beautiful and so sweet, and I really like how sparkly and almost not quite tangible their manes turned out. Also, grading the background from dark to light to contrast the each princess' colors looks fantastic, and the print texture looks even better with the "snow" (perhaps orbs/flares from the glittering goodness?). The lighting also does a great job highlighting Luna's coat and giving allowing more depth.
