Legionary or in Latin legionarius, plural legionarii was a professional heavy infantryman of the Roman army after the Marian reforms.
Centurion or in (Latin centurio)was a position in the Roman army during Classical Antiquity, nominally the commander of a century a military unit of around 80 legionaries.
Aquilifer or in aquiliferi as a soldier signifier bearing the eagle standard of a Roman legion. The name derives from the type of standard, aquila meaning "eagle" (which was the universal type used since 106 BC), and ferre, the Latin word for bringing or carrying. The eagle standard was the most important possession of the legion, and its loss was a terrible disgrace.
legate in (Latin legatus: was a high-ranking Roman military officer in the Roman Army, equivalent to a modern high-ranking general officer. Initially used to delegate power, the term became formalized under Augustus as the officer in command of a legion.
