You know, Sokka can hit a target roughly two inches long, almost directly below him about fifty feet down, in wind, while piloting a sky bison, with significantly less than a second's calculation, AND CATCH THE DAMN THING AFTERWARDS.
I don't think the guy's getting outclassed in boomeranging any time soon. Conclusion: he let her win.
