mm, yes, i think the gray looks cool. it depends on what look you're going for, i think. for example...gray doesn't seem like it'd fit in broad daylight in bodyguard.

And no it's not a cliche to say you like L, he's just that type of character, unless you're a stalward Kira worshipper it just can't be helped. Ofcourse, I love the hell out of L so I'm kinda biased!! Your drawing is fabulous, I don't know how you did it but his personality is all over his face...you've done very well!! I love it.

You know I have started using shades of purple. blue and red (mostly dark for red) and it is so cool to see how it makes the skin tone come alive.....I used to just use Paynes' gray but then I started reading through some skin tone tutorials and they all suggested using different colors...even yellow...it's actually kind of fun to see which color suits a character best. Nice job on expanding your technique! It's all about learning, having fun and growing as an artist...you are coming along quite well in your progress...I mean from when I originally started watching you...you have grown quite a bit! :}
