My first illustration to Siddhartha by Herman Hesse. For my book class
We've been planning the pieces all semester so I should be posting a few more.In this scene the main character Siddhartha is watched by his friend Govinda during a cleansing ritual, or ablution.
Has anyone read it? If so I'd love any suggestions for future pieces!

OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS PIC AND THIS BOOK.
Do one of where he's looking into the river when he is old and he leaves his life of wealth and ALMOST commits suicide but falls asleep with the "om" on his lips!! Beautiful! And one of him and his old friend rowing across the river. There's just so many good parts of that book!

Beautiful picture with this rich colours and it has a peculiar feeling, a bit dark, or I don't even know, but I like this painting
I'm interested in eastern philosophy and I've read a book about Gautama Siddhartha, that was a biography written by a Hungarian historian.
