It's time for cute rainbow things and magical girls! Wahoo! (ﾉ´ヮ´)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧
I did Watermelon (Whitney) on a whim in November, Blueberry (Belle) on the day before *Tyshea left California to visit me, and pumped the last three out in the last two days as stress relief. Apparently nervousness makes me productive. (ﾉ)´∀｀(ヾ) I missed these guys and it was a good excuse to play with facial features and stuff and things.
Sparknotes for those who are new! 
Tokyo Mew Mew is a magical girl series about five girls infused with the DNA of endangered animals, in order to protect the earth from an alien force threatening to pollute the planet into extinction and reclaim it as their own once more. It was the first manga I ever read and along with Sailor Moon on TV, it was the reason I started drawing seriously, so I have a huuuge soft spot for it and designing things for it. So these are my fan-characters I made a little bit ago. That post's a little bit old, but the information on it is up to date if you feel like reading it. 
Monique, aka Mew Peach, has lion dna. She's a competitive femme-jock and the leader.
Keira, aka Mew Kiwi, has sea turtle dna. She's a handsome, smooth-talking surfer gal.
Peobe, aka Mew Plum, has rhinoceros dna. She's a quiet and introverted little prodigy.
Whitney, aka Mew Watermelon, has eagle dna. She's an uppity fun-loving firecracker.
and Belle, aka Mew Blueberry, has beetle dna. She's an elegant, dreamy, eccentric geek.

PS The reason why magical girls are very love is because they teach girls that they can be both feminine and strong, unlike some female characters that make people thinks that only masculine girls can be strong and worthy of respect and that feminine girls are weak, shallow and whiny.

Gosh Bee your art is absolute EYE CANDY. I love your coloring and how it's changed and improved over the last year, and how you've mixed in some lineless details here, like the ruffles on their garters and Blueberry's antenna. I see the little hearts you drew in the highlights of their hair and where the light reflects in their eyes too, and it's a really, really cute detail to add.
I am super happy about Blueberry's curlier hair and darker skin, and how you've made her and Watermelon both a bit chubbier. THEY'RE ALL VERY CUTE AND I CAN'T DECIDE WHO'S MY FAV//////

I'm so happy you noticed the lineless bits!!! I was just giving it a shot for the heck of it, but it turned out really well! I see tons of artists do that little heart thing, and I was like, "ahh fuck it, I'll indulge this time!"
BELLE AND WITTY WERE DEFINITELY THE REASON I REDREW ALL OF THEM OH MAN I wanted to make Belle's hare more afro-y and both of them curvier and darker with more prominent features. It was crazy fun to take my chibi style in a more cartoony direction, I can incorporate features better this way.

Hmm, they're modeled directly off the uniforming-theme of the girls in the canon series. In the anime it looks like it's shiny vinyl, but in the manga it's more clothy/less reflective, but it's up to personal taste. And also arm/leg/neck garters. I dunno if that's what you were askin for though!

Honestly, the first anime that I've ever watched was Pokémon, and the first Manga book I ever read was Chobits by Clamp. I tried getting into Tokyo Mew Mew before and I never could follow the story or plot line very well, due to the fact that any Anime show that airs East Central time is or was featured late at night or when something did air I was always going somewhere else and didn't have time to watch it.

I think pokemon may have predated even sailor moon for me as well! I drew critters and fakemon before I drew people more actively! Chobits is such a nostalgic series too, that was Ty's first!
