Description I got this idea one day at work... but it wasn't this design. The design was originally a woman with bark/twig like arms looking up but suddenly it changed to a clock I saw when I was a kid.

The clock was an art nouveau style clock that depicted a woman holding the clock while her hair flowed in the wind. It was so elegant and beautiful that I use this design on many of my pieces.

Hopefully one day I will actually draw what I wanted from the original design but I like this one better.

Ohh I love this one. The compositon and her expresson are wonderfully expressive.

Thank you! Still working on the colored version.

Glad you liked the contrasts. I enjoyed the pose, too.

Thank you! The expression was an exageration from the original concept.

This leaves me breathless...really. I've been fascinated w/ the subject and iconography of time for so long, and I just love it. I love the suns and moons (or is it just the moon?) and the clock--is that a crack in the clock? And I love her expression, a look of fear, as if time is running out or about to stop. Even the jagged edges surrounding the moons remind me of a rip in time. Absolutely beautiful.

Damn! You got it pretty much dead on!

The "moons" are reprensenting the changes in time through the seasons. I originally thought of using different wilting leaves to show the change but the moon is a classic symbol of time. Thanks!

As for the ripples ... pretty much dead on there. I wanted to show the ripples of time in the background and her dress.

XD I can only interpret as well as the artist can represent! So, excellent visual communication there! I didn't think of the ripples in time, and also being in her dress. That's a wonderful idea.

Thank you. *bows*

Art should always be what the viewer sees. The artist can only go so far.

Although... for illustrators that's totally different. Gotta work on that. Heheh!
