For the upcoming calendar project: [link]The idea is a series of postcards from around the world depicting dogs native to that region in their..natural element!
A labrador Retrievor enjoys October in the beautiful scenic Western Canada, more specifically Brittish Columbia, a close neighbor to where I live, Washington State. I suppose it is a bit clicheish but then..it's kinda meant to be
. Hopefully it isn't offensive to any Canadian folks out there, it's not meant to be in the least..just a bit of fun and twist of humour. I realize it is a jab at Dudley Do Right with our mountie here sitting backwards on the moose. Actually I started out with the idea of showing a Moose's posterior plastered with Canadian stickers..but since the focus of the piece was supposed to be the doggies of the world, I supposed a good view of our mountie would be important..so I made him sit backwards on the moose (since I found it too hard to part with the idea of a moose's behind..don't ask.)So here he is Saluting a proud family of Beavers, the patriarch of which holding aloft the Canadian flag.
Overall I had fun with this piece, just getting back to my roots of a more toony style!

I love this picture and Being Canadian, let em tell you I am not at all insulted, but I think I would have stuck a Newfoundland plate on there instead, the moose are plentyful and the Lab is from there, lol. Awsome picture!!

The only thing that I find offensive about is the "Eh" stuff. Everyone seems to assume all Canadians say "eh" but the only ones I've heard say it were the newfoundlanders and defenetly not british columbians( I live in BC). . .Other than that I like this very much

well I think it was meant as a lighthearted jab at the stereotype..not my way of stating Canadians speak like that (I live 5 minutes from the BC border and so have chatted with a good deal of Canadian folk and MOST don't say eh much but I also have a few Canadian friends that use it a LOT XD..and frankly they rubbed off on me so much that 'I' say it probably more than any Canadian x) )
