Spike is a doormat in servitude to Twi, Big Mac's only vaguely significant role involved him getting drugged and damaging the town and Shinging Armor... Captain of the Royal Guard who in both his appearances has had to be saved by a coalition of his wife and little sister.
Apart from that, we have male antagonists.

I don't ship characters unless I see a reason to (only decent male isn't a good enough reason in my mind, plus I have no issues with shipping two females heh), and... I can't recall them ever having spent any amount of time together that warrants it. STILL, if people wanna ship it, I'm not gonna look down on them for it. uvu Everyone has their own tastes! The official MLP comic kinda makes me ship Fleetfoot and Mac, though.. Even if it's just one sided. Oops.
This is very beautiful and sweet, though. I love everything about it; the lighting really suits the scenario.
If anything, though, I would have made Big Mac look a big beefier. It might just be the pose, but he doesn't look much bigger than Twilight.

I'm a shipper myself, and I'm well aware of how obnoxious we can be. I myself try to keep it to a minimum. Being TwiMc shipper myself, I do ship their personalities, but admit there's not a whole not onscreen.

And I totally respect that. I get where you're coming from because Mac is a gentle giant; it just seems that they'd do well together. I'd definitely have no complaints if it became canon! I'm not sure who I ship Twilight with; I read a cute fanfiction with Rainbow Dash and Twilight a while ago which warmed me up to that pairing, but... Hmn. uvu
