Best series of books in the UNIVERSE.
If you're a fan of fantasy then you should read the Abhorsen series by Garth Nix. You won't regret it.
I tried to depict Yrael as I imagined him. Originally I saw a pillar of fire but after I reread the book I noticed it said with a human shape. XD So I revised it for a mix of the two.
A couple of hours give or take.

I finished the Old Kingdom trilogy (and the Nicholas Sayre extension) a few months ago, and I loved it, one of the best fantasy series written, I can't wait for the new releases to come out

I loved that first scene when Mogget's true form was released. I also sort of imagined him as a pillar of fire, but more of fire with a sillohette of a human shape
But I like yours too!

I absolutely love this series to death! And this part in the last novel is where I always start to cry. It's so wonderful to see Mogget choose life over destruction... and all that comes after it....

ASDFGHJKL!!! Oh my god, this is sheer awesome! For me this was one of the defining moments of the Old Kingdom series when Yrael defies Orannis. I love how you've managed to keep some of his feline features and he has such an incredibly otherworldly look to him.
