The atmosphere in this painting is very warm and there seems to be no struggle, at least not the violent kind. I like the great level of detail given to the forest -- the amount of work put into making the background really adds a lot of depth to the scene.

i must say that is a very striking image :3 Like it was ripped directly from some epic fantasy story. I suppose they use this snail as a means of transportation, since its got a howda ( is that spelled right? ). I can't imagine its the fastest way to get around though. but that monster could probably haul some pretty heavy cargo :3

I didn't use any custom brush to draw the grass, I used a tiny round brush and the clone stamp tool.
I used a custom brush just for the leaves.
