love the title bars and scrollbars but not so hot about the taskbar... the colour strip kinda does have a highlighting effect but kinda makes it look ugly too, nice try tho, sof the most part the metallic look you pulled off fine and the subtle look of the control buttons (minimize, maximize, close, help, etc) works a charm...

This is probably the best minimalist skin/style/whatever that I've ever come across. It combines uncluttered elegance with a fair bit of visual flair, relative to some other skins I've seen. I like the line running along the taskbar, but I'd have to put a cross against the scrollbars, they're pretty dominant, visually. I think it would be nice if they were a little more laid-back. This is ousting whatever style I'm using at the moment, however
Also, what icons are they? they look pretty snazzy

This is a simple, sleek classy skin. Especially for a first skin! omg, if this is your first, I cant wait to see more.
Zulwarn's comment, above, struck me a bit strange and lacking common sense. Of course a new visual style artist isnt going to be at the level of Adni, Treetog, Chaninja, Mormegiel, etc.. They've been making Windowblinds skins and/or visual styles for years-- for crying out loud!
Ive seen some first time Visual styles from some that really suck, but at least the artist had to start somewhere.
Your visual style looks very well made, and not like a first-time attempt. Definitely something I'm looking forward to using on my desktop.

Zulwarn: without a doubt ChaNinja is a better, more established themer. This is my first attempt at a visual style, and it's simple on purpose, I'm more of a minimalist when it comes to themes!

thats defenitly a good style but sorry man thats nothing compared to the styles made by chaninja u still need a lot and alot and alot of work to reach his level .... but however nice work man its a good one

I did actually try moving the line up, but it became too small and made the theme look odd, especially when the taskbar is placed at the top of the screen.
Which winamp taskbar are you talking about btw, Winamp Deskband? If not, which was it? I'll make some icons that fit in with the theme, as well as the winamp matching skin I'm making!

Very sleek design, great work bose. My only complaint is how the winamp taskbar buttons go up into the small strip of color at the top, but that could be easily fixed with another icon.
