Not sure if this has been discovered. (probably :T) Placing a torch on glass that's beside a chest or furnace or crafting table puts it on either one of those three.Note: The glass must be surrounded by other glass and must be beside the chest / furnace etc, but beneath it, if that makes sense. Use the above picture for reference.

No this is not a glitch, and plus this picture is using a texture pack.Β In the default texture pack chests look shorter than other blocks, but in here they are the same size.

Not litteral time travel.Β You are able to increase random ticks by a massive amount so crops and stuff end up growing faster and almost instantaneously if you want.Β Minecarts can now fly off their tracks and into a wall and possibly into lava if you aren't careful.

Can't believe I never read this when looking at the torches page:
* Torches may be placed on the sides of openable blocks such as chests by having another block which a torch cannot be placed on (such as glass or another torch) also facing the cube where the torch should be placed, and attempting to place a torch on it. Or trying to place the torch on a ceiling next to a wall. The torch will instead attach to an acceptable block such as the chest.
I feel slightly less important.

You can also put the torch on top of the blocks if the glass/other block is at the same height as the chest etc.

It doesn't have to be glass, it can be anything that you can't place a torch on.
