My second entry for "Pick Your Poison" contest held by

'Death' is the theme
I spent most of the time thinking of what should I draw and here it is..I'm not satisfied enough with the result but this is the best I can do to show what death means to me: to bid farewell to the ones we love, a deliverance to eternal life

You have amazing talent for capturing light in your art. The glowing and translucent effect around the spirit in this piece are surreal. Nice concept expressed in your comments as well.

Hello! My name is Ashley, I am one of the judges for the Pick Your Poison Contest!

For the theme, I really like concept you've portrayed. You've truly captured the sadness of a girl looking upon her dying loved one. The emotion in this piece is also really empowering. Just looking at the tears shine upon the girls cheek is saddening.

And with this great concept, you've done a great job with the lighting! I love how it has a dark surrounding and then the light focuses on the blurred loved one.

Overall, I'm giving you an 8/10. I love the concept and it's filled with so much emotion! However, I'm curious as to why the image is full of noise? Like the little dots all scattered around the image. It looks like gone through a noise filter or some scanning problems? Any who, it's still a very wonderful piece. Keep it up!

Beautiful! I love the use of lighting and how it's dark near the left corner because the girl is sad and she only sees death and her mother (I assume?) leaving her yet there's the light in the right with her beautiful mom and how it shows the love her mother has for her daughter. Definitely well executed too. Good luck!
