I know, but the Dark Brotherhood was still my favorite faction. The story was just better than any other.

I never meet that quests, because this guild bored me.

Good source of gold though. 1000 gold per assassination at later levels.

Gold is a pretty cheap reward. I performed a delivery between two people in the same town and earned 1000 gold as 'compensation for your troubles'. Early on, gold is nice, but it quickly gets outshined by all the lovely enchanted equipment you find all over the place. It doesn't take long for the loot to become better than what you can buy.Β

That's damn right. I'd expect something a little more than a 1000 gold coins for MURDERING someone. Makes it even worse that it becomes repetitive and boring.

Plenty of mods to fix that, like...
Favors like deliveries only give pocket change instead of cartloads of gold...
Jarls' bounties are larger than others, mainly for killing dragons...
[Scarcity] makes valuables rare to find...
Personally I use RP rules, like not looting weapons and armor from corpses (they're all covered in guts and have been recently hammered down and ripped apart, y'know), only small things and pieces with enchants that I don't have. Even doing that I still get lots of gold which are seldom used.

99% of quests in Bethesda games, ladies and gents. They make awesome worlds and great stories, but not so much when it comes to quests. They also kind of fail at getting you invested in their worlds via your character, with Skyrim's Imperial/Stormcloak conflict being the best example: Why should I care? Answer: *crickets*
