Words cannot describe how proud I am with this piece. ; u; I think I spent more time working on the line-art of this piece than anything else in this picture. Even the lighting/shading felt much more simpler than the crazy line-art that I had to do. XD I mean, LOOK AT HER EARS AND THAT STUPID LACE-THING BELOW HER PURPLE SKIRT?!?!?
And if anyone's wondering who Sagacious is cosplaying as, it's Toyosatomimi no Miko (Ten Desires) from the Touhou Project series. The moment that I saw this character whilst playing the game, I thought right away that "Sagacious and Toyosatomimi have a couple of things in common. More so than any other Touhou Project character that I've ever seen thus far.
Why did I cosplay her as Reimu last year? //slapped"So... this is the result after a couple of days of working on this picture, from a mere sketch to this.
I SERIOUSLY LOVE HOW I'D DONE THOSE ORB THINGIES AROUND HER, LIKE FSDNJHVNDJNVKJERNNK!!! ~
Anyways, this'll be my Halloween picture for 2014.

I can tell that you're still forcing your imagination out. - n- It isn't something that you can tell if its flowing or not. It strikes whenever it wants. It's only a matter of knowing how to identify a good imagination from a bad one.

Le Gasp! I've been meaning to comment on this picture for ages!
I must say your digital work is coming along real nicely. The lineart definitely caught my attention, and being a user of Paint and the stupid trusty 'ole mouse, I know this must've taken you a while. I mean look at all the different depths there are to it! AND DEM EARS THOSE OOOOOOOH SOOOOO FLUFFLY EARS!!
The shading is also very neat also. I'm terrible at shading clothing so I can't really say 'yay' or 'nay' here, though I do admit I admire the areas where the orby thingies glimmer off her. Those orby thingies are pretty damn cool in themselves
Absolutely love this and the amount of effort gone in is showing. Good job and keep it up my friend!

Yeah, the line-art was most definitely a pain, especially after I'd learnt from Paige that sharp lines just makes the picture even more cooler than they usually do. Which I do agree, cause I like sharp and pointy stuff~ c: The depths of the line-art is actually simple to do, though filling in the blank spaces in between the lines wasn't so easy.... X'D

I mean, this is the first time that I've done a shaded picture with only a couple of layers, unlike my previous attempts that involved... at least 10 layers? :'D And they looked horrendous, because I didn't know how to shade till this one? Anyways, I should thank you for showing me that Overlay trick that I didn't think about using. c; It's one of the reasons why this looks good, and why I'm just so proud of it!~ //slapped

Always feel free to ask for any tips and such, one thing I do besides overlay is actually use colors for shading and lighting instead of black and white, as long as the colors don't clash of course XD

Pfffft~ XD I actually used black and white for the Overlay of this picture, while the shading on the character herself... based on position, I used the colour that the orbs are emitting. :'D Didn't even thought of the dangers of clashing colours till you mentioned it.

... Honestly, I never did any shading for this piece, aside from the lighting that was made by the orbs of light surrounding her. 
I was new to the Touhou Project cast that time, alright? XD All that I knew were the Scarlet Devil Mansion cast, Reimu/Marisa/Alice, and the Double-Dealing Character cast. :I Now... I know more!~

I had to do some geometry to get that sword... crossguard... area... thing, look right. :'D You know, so that those things align well with those on the opposite end? On the other hand, it isn't as bright as what I'd intended it to be.

I never used any tools to copy those decorative stuff on the hilt. :I Only used the picture of Toyosatomimi from Hopeless Masquerade as a reference. :'D

Now she's stuck with a dull metal sword. At least we know that it isn't made of gold, otherwise it would've been one costly costume. XD

I think that it's best if I leave it as it is. The dull sheen of her fancy sword sort of fits the overall picture. At least, that's what I think. XD I don't want to make Sagacious broke because of this costume.
