Looks like my printer did a pretty fine job with the shadows around Artemis. And I didn't even have to touch my grey colour pencils at all. 8DLet's just say that yesterday was another one of those 'I'm bored. Let's do something' days. So I went through my inbox and saw another one of ~Ulaka-Amaiti 's character, Artemis. That's a very popular name for magic-themed characters around dA, I have to say.
But anyways, regarding this picture, I put my cards down (literally) after seeing this picture and reading another page of her story and decided to give my anatomy technique and traditional colouring/shading another go. I have to say, my scanner is doing a good job by adding colours to it. And yes, I'd purposely left that spot in between her palms empty because I can't find any other way to colour an orb of light without erasing too much of the coloured spaces. Gift, present, an experiment, call it whatever you wish, Ulaka.Damn me and my extremely light/very fair colour pencils, I'd completely forgotten to colour one tiny area on her face!!!

Seeing as she's some sort of a source of power of ~Ulaka-Amaiti 's main character Element, I'd thought that 'Why not? Let's give this pose a shot!' As for the name, I'm keeping my opinions about it for myself. I think they may sound very offensive if let out.
