oh no! LOL I don't have enough money for that.

I do have signed prints though.

not Brian Froud, but one of my prized possesions is a script from Labyrinth signed by Jennifer Connely, David Bowie, Jim and Brian Henson.

He has plushies now! almost 2 feet tall, $45 on his website. I really want one

Oh yes, waaaay cuter than the hobbits-- especially the babies!! I am soooo glad people on dA actually know what the Dark Crystal is, because I always ask people, "Hey, have you guys seen the Dark Crystal? Its an old movie made in, like, the fifties but its totally awesome!" and they are always like: "WTF, no!!" -tear- But this is a reaaally cool drawing.

Well. What are the odds that you would choose to illustrate the one podling that I chose? Anyhow, this picture is great! I'm taking a college course right now where we're working on creature masks and I've decided to do a podling. I'm not sure if you chose this podling or created it yourself but I've an image from the movie with an almost identical one. I'm going to personalize the mask a bit but it'll still be a podling. For my renderings I've been using an image from the movie (very hard to find), an image of Boober, and now I'm going to consult yours if you don't mind. I'm going to try and keep pics posted in my scraps of the in progress mask in case you're interested. Keep up the beautiful drawings

that mask sounds interesting, cant wait to see it . i used a reference from the book 'the world of froud' there is heaps of podlings in there, also detailed descriptions of them, so you should look into borrowing a copy. its possible its the same podling, i wouldnt be suprised.
and thanks

I've never seen 'the dark crystal' but still cuteness! I don't think I could draw something with facial features and still make it cute.

That's so cool. But massive size and resolution on that pic. I can see the fibers in the paper!

The shading looks nice, a little rough in spots (looking on super high resolution) but nice nonetheless.

away-with-the-fae In reply to mhowley01 [2006-09-04 00:51:57 +0000 UTC]

thanks, do you know how would i go about changing the resolution?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

mhowley01 In reply to away-with-the-fae [2006-09-04 13:26:49 +0000 UTC]

Either scan it in at a lower res. For DA preferably somewhere around 100 or 150. Or once you scan it in
at 300 (just look at the scanning preferences before you scan) you can open up photoshop, go to Image -
image size - and just edit the resolution there.

There's alot of ways to go about changing image size. Hope this helps.
