Playing around with that nifty little Nepalese sketchbook I've got tucked away
I've got a couple big huge projects on the table, highly refined and whatnot, plus challenges, and other random stuff that's taking forever. So, I decided to take a quick break and do some fast sketches for the sake of doing it!

I think you did a fantastic job on this - the hair is my favorite part. I love how you used ballpoint pen for this as it is something I have been wanting to try and to see it used so well is incredible.
I love how the bottom of the portrait fades off and the shadows you used on the left side. I am confused about what's in her hair though but assume its a flower since it's right above where one would put one and the shape. I also think that her eye might be better if it weren't so dark because it stands out so much compared to the rest of that side of her that it seems like maybe the lighting could be confused, though it does seem like makeup really - one thing that i find tough to make a portrait.
Overall, fantastic job! She is so pretty and again, I love the hair which you really got the movement of very nicely.

In retrospect, I couldve done more with the flowers; they wouldve stood out more had I used some sort of highlight. I'm not entirely satisfied with the eye, but I think it came out okay; yes, there is a fair bit of makeup involved, and that can sometimes be a challenge.
