Anne Teubert; not only attractive, but terribly talented! =Lorelai82 I picked up this neat little journal a while back of bark-paper handmade in Nepal (with the little bubbles so you know its made by the authentic villiagers of...wherever), and wanted to try it out. Going to try and do a number of quick (ie not 40hrs on huge paper) sketches and drawings, fill 'er up Lookin to experiment with different mediums and techniques, too!

The bark is very interesting. The coloring and texture of it is kind of exotic and old. The lady in the drawing is very beautiful and I can't believe you used an ink pen. What about mistakes? Great job!!

Thanks! I like this paper, I use it for correspondence, as well as any number of types of art projects.

Its amazing what you can do with relatively simple tools. I find that if you take an ordinary cheapo ballpoint stick pen, like a Bic or whatever most office supply stores sell in bulk, you can actually treat it like a pencil in some respects. Varrying the angle and the pressure, you can get some really cool shading, while the black ink gives you a wider range of tones [link]
