Description
Whenever the clan heads got together for a Thing, the heirs were expected to attend as well, dressed to the nines. It’s not always a comfortable experience for them.Things that I love:

*Also, I've made it to the Elite Eight, which is the farthest I've ever made it in March Madness and I can bow out happily should things work out like that. I'm currently running against a fantastic artist and wonderful person, and you should all go check out her stuff and vote to your hearts' content .

Alivia is just amazing in this! I still drool over the artistic spark this has! Just incredible! I'm so dumped with work/secret projects right now, but I seriously WANT to draw Alivia in her 'Dressed to the Nines' Dress!!

Her father is Hiccup! She actually exists in two fanfics. Hitchups , where Hiccup leaves when he was planning to, and Crossing the Line which follows cannon.
Alivia will exist no matter what.

Don't worry Alivia, your half-brother Garik will be there too, being as miserable as you are. Or at least, I made several assumptions to allow that sceario, the most important being this is the CTL-verse.

You know, I was thinking Garik would be around (assuming this is CTL univere... since it's possible Alivia would find herself in a similar situation in Hitchups!uni as well). But Garik would probably be more composed and making his rounds and being charasmatic and charming as usual. And Alivia would be slouching and eating and rolling her eyes waiting for the hell of formalities to end. XD
And Roan would be popping his head in and making faces at her and running out again.

I like how you took and ran with it in your own design. You two really work well as a creative team. The expressions on Alivia and Camicazi are very good. Interesting also to see the middle age Cami-- you give a good intrepretation of it. I wonder if Cami is thinking about her daughter's reactions and wondering if her own mom also had the same situation in having Cami wonder if she put her mom, Bertha, through the same thing.
And we all need more middle aged Cami!

BAM! and the fur thing comes off because lets face it, gathered in a Mead Hall full of fire, cooking, sweaty man-bodies is gonna be too hot for that thing. But it looks sooo good. I imagine it was a black wolf that died to make her look fabulous. But they ate it too. Like the Native Americans, they don't waste parts.

Which one of the stark kids had a black wolf? Shaggy-dog, was it? Because I think that's what Alivia showed up in.

I just see something and I like it, but I couldn't design anything myself
I really like strong female characters and Alivia is strong like that. She knows who she is and what she wants and I'm pretty sure she wouldn't be okay with people who sort girls into the "household and kids" pile.
And I really like the mother-daughter relationship in this scene
(I don't remember seeing them together like this before. I mean, I knew how they were related, but this makes it a lot clearer in my head

Wooohooo! I'm real happy you see Alivia as a strong female character, since that's exactly what she's intended to be. She doesn't really mind dressing up or anything, she likes to look good, but she hates formalities. Their such a drag.
You know, I don't draw Camicazi and Alivia together enough. That could be the problem. It's mostly been me focusing on Hiccup's side of things. More middle-aged Camicazi should be a priority for me.
