*Sigh* I agree with the theory of Shiek=Zelda, therefore Sheik=female, but can we not all agree that Sheik is awesome, and be civil about it? The Zelda games are tenuously connected, and not all facts are the same in the different stories. For instance, there are no Minish in any of the other games, though they're a big part of The Minish Cap. I don't remember anything in any of the other games where the master sword split the wielder into four people permanently in any but Four Swords. There are different spirits of light in Twighlight Princess. In Wind Waker the entire world was flooded. This isn't even going into the different histories of the characters in different stories.
Oh, and one last thing, just for the record, SHEIK IS A FICTIONAL CHARACTER, AND THEREFORE, IT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER WHAT GENDER S/HE IS!!!!

While yes, from an outward standpoint, your basic maths is correct. However; you claiming to be a true fanatic, must have read the manga? In which it ACTUALLY SAYS, that Zelda disguised herself with magic, as a male Sheika serving Gannondorf... not to mention Shiek is distinctly male in the manga, and in the OOT graphics.
Feel free to try and give a VALID argument back, as 'idiot' does not supply as any intelligent rebuttal on your part.
Regardless, you are still free to have your own opinion on Shiek's gender - but please keep your disagreements to yourself, or debate in a mature way. Thanks, and leave the artist alone.

And FOR THE RECORD, the manga is NOT 100% cannon. I've read the first few chapters of it, and it's not entirely like the game(such as Mido being a part of the battle with Gohma).

I have not read the manga, but just because she can disguise herself with magic as a male in BODY, that does NOT make her ACTUALLY a male in the spirit of who she actually IS. Shiek may be a "male" in the manga, but is still TECHNICALLY female.(I can't exactly say what I'm thinking it words...I hope I've made my actual POINT clear...lol)

Techically, yes, Zelda is disguised as Shiek. With magic, that makes the body a male. Which does, by this mind, make Shiek a male. Considering they are only game characters, we have no insight to their minds and it cannot be proved either way. True that the likely hood is, it's Zelda's mind. But for people who use the characters for art, fanfiction - they can take the loophole and expand on the characters in a way that makes them happy.
Also~ I know the manga isn't cannon; it was simply an example.
Expanding to why Zelda and Shiek may be a different mindset - and this is only an observation rather than facts, if you will - that the fighting style of the two...
Shiek, is definately a ninja. Needles, chainwhip, acrobatics and the lot.
Zelda never displays having any of these skills; using only a bow in OoT from what I can remember - though it would be impractical for her to not help, if she had such skills?
So, by physicality Shiek is a male; and as for mind there is no proof either way. So, if I can accept that to some people, Shiek is a woman, please take the same maturity and understand that people have different opinions for his/her inspecific gender.

You said Sheik was female, because that's your opinion. Believe me, the game as been out for a long time. If there was any REAL PROOF either way, it would have been discovered. But there isn't.
