Description
this took FOREVER and a day. no part of it is colored in- everything is collaged from photographs.if you notice anything wrong with it, or have any ideas of how to make it better, PLEASE let me know.
it's only finished because i can't think of anything else to do to it..

and now that the masses are actively privy to this picture i just want it on the record that this isn't some dumb acid picture.
it's more like a literal interpretation of one's brain figuratively exploding.

Wow... I know this will probably be lost in the stream of praise, but this is an amazing work of art... even before reading the title and description, I noticed that the hair seemed to look somewhat like brain matter. The coloring is astounding as well. Congratulations on the Daily Deviation, you deserve it.

This is great... the whole brain exploding thing... I kinda got the idea that she'd just died and her soul was leaving her body. The collage idea is sooo cool, its great that you can think of something original like that. It totally deserved the DD thingy.

wow, that's quite amazing! i love the way the hair has many colors in it, but still seems clearly red, as well as it almost looks like you can see brustrokes it in. i'd thought the hair was traditionally painted at first glance

i scanned a drawing that i did in my sketchbook and then in photoshop i used a bunch of pictures that i had bumming around on my hardrive to collage the coloring.
for example the hair is a bunch of little cut outs from pictures of my hair that i arranged to fit with the lines.
it seems really difficult- but it actually wasn't hard so much as just a really tedious process off cutting and pasting and rotating and picking the right areas of the pictures and blah blah blah.

Very interesting. Even if it were an acid trip picture- this has more substance to it in form and color. [Wow it's all collaged? VERY nice.] The closed eyes, the way the hair takes the form of the swirl, even though the scarf is the same, more or less, hue. The face is upturned, and not violent, maybe peaceful, but it's open to interpretation about the emotion. I particularly like the glass window stylings behind it.

I like how the swirling cloud of color is ambiguously both hair and blood, & then, of course, rainbow. Kind of like the flashes we see in our closed eyelids. It looks both like thick tresses spilled onto the floor, and blood billowing into clear water.

Is that a girl or a boy? The long hair and eyelashes implies a girl, but the face looks more male. I like the use of colour though.

Jesus, that's unreal! I had to look at this thing in fullview for like 5 minutes to even begin to understand how you colored this whole thing with collage. I've never seen anything like it, honestly. The hair in particular is really tripping me out! You actually managed to put highlights in all the right places and everything. I love the heavy black lines and comic book style hatching on her face, it looks fantastic against the vivid colors of the collage. This is definitely on of the better DD's I've seen, I'm so glad they picked this one.
