Rarity must be one of the deepest characters. FIM canon is far too balanced for its own good.Kinda' played with the colours without much reference here so not sure how much saturation I've pushed accidentally.

I agree with the depth, especially after that nightmare arc early on in the comics. Some of the others like pinkie and dash, it's mostly on the surface. Really have to "get it" to understand Rarity's depth, it seems.

I can understand why you'd think that. To me, the personalities of the characters in MLP aren't really polished off and you can make up your own ideas about them. I always thought of Cadance and Luna as being the blandest characters but never mention it because if I did then, undoubtedly, someone's head will pop up from under the nearest rock to lecture me why I'm wrong! XD

Ahh right, I can see why.... ^.^ I agree with you on PP but that video demonstrates how leaving a great deal lot up to the audience allows for soo many opinions to form; whilst he raises many good points, my own view of our favorite pretty little pink pony is quite different.

It's interesting to look at. It's making a move into the more abstract arena so if you were going for an emotional approach - not bad! Looks quite imposing.

To give her wings was somewhat the plan, yeah. It seemed to suit the 'longing' theme I was trying for, besides Rarity loved her butterfly wings....
