Fluttershy walking under the trees in midsummer.I rather like working in hybrid.... Biro is my go-to medium for sketching as it's soo tame! Calligraphic inking pens are also really easy to come by in Japan too which I'm trying to get a hang of.
Coloured later in SAI.

In the story, Fluttershy gets exposed to some concentrated poison joke that Twilight's experimenting with, and it gives her a taller, more muscular but still feminine physique, so the angles and the sense of mass in the image here are just exactly what I'm looking for. I've got about 3,000 words written on it so far, but again, I'll put the link here when I get it posted.

Yeah, I try to get those strong angles and perspective in when I can. I find it interesting and it really helps cover up some of the anatomy errors (or make em' more forgivable).

She looks brilliant. I also like how you went for a more abstract feel for the background, it really presents a strong spring/summer feel.

It's been a while since I've done a detailed background; they seem to distract from the main subject so I tend to just suggest the shapes and lighting. Looking at it again, I should have emphasized the back-lighting more on fluttershy. Thanks anyway! ^.^

No, I think the way it looks now keeps it focused on FS. Adding stranger backlighting might give it a more 'offensive' look. The way you have it at the moment keeps it as a more easy looking image. Overall more pleasing to the eye. More backlighting might have jeopardised that. Be happy with the balance - it feels like that's where it should be.

Dat angle. And I really like the combination of sketchy shading and the colour-based kind. And that fluffy chest and neck and the entire body are just gorgeous. Well done!
