It begins, Season 5, and the art!I'm doing my Episode Art streams again, just like I did during Season 4, with every episode an artwork made.

Really awesome start to the season I say. Different, but pulled of by all the folks who worked on it. It's something I've come to expect from them. Exploring new ways and things while still making it all work!
Very much enjoyed the episodes. So many new things, so many possibilities shown. In all regards, from visuals, sound, animation, story, lore, etc. Really excited for more!
Since it was a two parter, there was quite a bit to choose from, quite a bit of nice things to choose from. I went with Starbright, though.
One thing... darn magic colour is almost same as background haha, that wasn't exactly the easiest part. Also... all.. those... cutiemarks...
I may be tempted to tackle some more from these episodes, if I can find the time. Since it's a two parter.
Anyhow, hope y'all enjoyed the episode and enjoy this little bit of art.
I'll be doing this every Weekend when I can.
Unfortunately next week's stream will be delayed to Monday/Tuesday because I'll be at Brony-Fair. But other than Bronycon and Brony-Fair, I don't expect any interruptions.

She definitely had quite the power. To see the before and after effects on the mane 6 was quite unnerving in a way. The entire episode had that tone I guess, which was pretty awesome to see. They haven't had anything like this before. I trust the staff to be able to deliver new stuff, and they sure did deliver on that.
I'll take my Applejacks with all her bucking prowess, like a five bit snake herder in an Appleloosa ranch house as she put it haha.

A small detail I really liked were the snow hoof steps she left behind, since we couldn't actually see her run due to magic.
But there's also just so much introduced in these episodes besides her like the world map, artifacts, some more secondary/background character involvement, new environments, activities like the skiing and more! So awesome.

Starlight Glimmer looks great, but I don't know if it's depth of field or getting it in while the iron's hot: but the staff does look a little muddy.

I did the magic across it a bit dirty, was a bit undecided on how I exactly wanted it. That might cause that a bit.

Awesome episodes! I trust all the show staff members to pull of new things in all greatness, keeping things interesting, fun and quality. These just confirmed why I feel that way!
The tone and theme of the episodes were really fresh and new to the series, and they covered it really nice. That eerie feeling. Not to mention the rest was done nicely as well, new animations, faces, history, castle information, world map stuff, character building, music, etc. A real joy to watch.
