Angela Carter has written a really interesting series of 'fairytales' based on others, though they're completely new rather than reincarnations. There's one influenced by this - if I remember correctly, it's called Erl-King. Just in case anyone is interested

Can't say as I'm a fan of your charcoal(?) drawings. It gives it a certain aspect that suits the storyine, but it makes reading the script a damn site harder.

Taking on the original poem done straight and with the slight twists of your own mythos - ambitious! Lovely graphical work here.
I am still too messed up by Subtilior's spin on that tale, mind you. But it does mesh so nicely with the darker hints in Labyrinth...

Alternate point, Erkonig says "daughters" as in multiple, not singular. does jareth have other sisters through him? sorry, dumb question.

this set panels is especially striking, the face of the child looks genuinely terrified. strikes my heart, being a parent myself. can feel the mix of rage and helplessness of the father.

Wow, very good foreshadowing to this one in the Wild Hunt- arc. Panel 4 is so alike to page 290 panel 3. And the artwork itself in this one is amazing; so many details and shadows done so well in pencil. You are truly wonderful Ashe.

I meant by "the joys of classical" music the fact that it isn't identified by performer but by composer* so there will be many many versions.
* Because it originates before voice/music recording was invented so it wasn't reasonable to expect only one person (group of persons) ever playing/sining it.
