Great work, aside from the beast's face is supposed to be distinctively more mammalian.

Yeah, I remember trying to make the animal's design look less chimeric when I did this. I really like the original design, and this is a somewhat alternate take on it.

In my personal opinion, I think you should've made his eyes a little bigger.
Aside from that, the picture looks great!
