Nice hair texture. I'm still learning how to capture that.

This is pretty good! The only thing I would suggest is that you spend a little longer on 'finishing' next time, tighten up those forms you already have, use a tool like a serrated kidney to make a nice uniform surface. Kidneys are great to create and define form! Not sure if you have it, but the sculptung 'bible' I always refer to (along with many other sculptors) is called 'modelling and sculpting the Human Figure' by Edouard Lanteri

I really do not. Thank you for your valuable advice! You will need to try.
Lanteri, I have it and I looked.

the first link didn't work - but the second did - yep, that is your standard kidney! The rubber variation is used for more subtle forms, but when you start off a sculpt you should start with a metallic serrated one (looks like it has jagged edge/teeth) - that's great that you have the book! I love that book - there is so much information about sculpting human form in there I always have it close by.

That is a nice sculpt, you should post a photo of yourself so we can compare!

This is totally amazing. It is my desire to do this sort of sculpting on such a large scale and even bigger in the future Your work has shown me it is more than possible to fulfill that dream.
Thank you for sharing this magnificent piece

Thanks for the tip!
Yes, I modeled myself with, and more on the eyes than the measurements. In the end, passed the internal state is fairly strong portrait. But, I regret that I did not have the patience, knowledge and skill, and, in the aggregate - the experience to perform work accurately and expressively. Nevertheless, I got a great experience which I hope will result in a more successful future work.
