But so want Dante to be happier, and NOT end up like Uncle.

That is... Scary and heartbreaking as hell!!! Oh, god, Dante's expression and Elyon's fear, just... Jesus! In the first panel, Dante is clearly losing his mind and his smile just breaks my heart, since I feel like there is some piece of him asking for help. Elyon also looks so lost... Then there is his anger and the shadow of Phobos... Damn, there goes my heart...
Hmm... Honestly, I don't know. About whether use this or not. Of course, the decision is yours. I'm not sure if I would go for a complete state of possession a la Regan of "The Exorcist" or merely the ghost of Phobos (or whatever since he threw himself off Kandrakar as far as I remember) whispering things in his ear, but not fully able to take control of him, you know? I'm all for adding more complexity to the whole deal, like whatever Dante did in this state was him and him alone (hey, we all have some evil in us, sadly), as Phobos could only whisper the thoughts Dante didn't want to fully admit. But this seems to be what you're going for anyway, since the host has to be willing. Perhaps Dante would also find a spell to bring his uncle's body back? (Oh, don't look at me like that, you know how I am when the subject is Phobos).
Amazing work, as always!

Oh boy indeed it's not the best situation Oh yes I wanted to portray Dante at his limit... he just cannot take it anymore and succumbs to the bitterness of his heart he is... at the irony of Elyon words but also at the irony of his own broken spirit and how he just gave in... and yes Elyon is at a loss like she never felt before, her most precious person menacing and enraged in front of her and at the same time she can also feel that hidden plea for help and the sadness in his eyes...
Well but that's mostly what I was thinking, it's not a complete sense of possession like the traditional concept like the exorcist, Dante handed the reins to Phobos (or perhaps half pf the reigns ) at his own accord also to utilise Phobos' powers, and their connection is perhaps something more similar to Venom and Eddie in the latest movie, don't know if you had a chance to see that - www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLCn88… , in the end Dante has the final call to expel Phobos from his body, but having such a siren not only whispering things to you but having full access to your brain might be a challenge to resist... and of course Dante is also tired ... the most angry part of him might want some type of compesanstion... you might call it revenge... for all he's been through, so he's not innocent at all even tho he was manipulated... heck! He might even have figured out that Phobos was using him, and still he gave Phobos all the ammunition he needed! Like you said we all have a darkness inside... the challenge here is if Dante will let his get the best of him... also don't forget they have an emotional bond, and just like Phobos can influence Dante in this state Dante can also influence him somehow
I don't want to spoil much but believe me when I say that I not only wanna bring Phobos back, but there's also a lot of stuff prepared for him! And it's not only this
Thank you so much dear

oh god, and this will make the people's opinion of him worse.
I love how you captured both Phobos' deranged snarl and Dante's "Mother, help me!" expression all in one

When I saw this it truly blew my mind away! I did not expect this!
It looks so amazing and so dramatic! I love it the way you made it and the way you made Dante almost look like
a madman under Phobos's influence and you did a great job capturing this wild pleasure and wild sadness at the
same time, practically making Dante have Phobos's expression! That's no small thing you know! Making a
character have the same look as another, as it is not easy for an actor to play...the acting of someone else!
(If that, what I said, makes sense at all! )
I am so honored that my small story has inspired you so much as to create this! You have no idea
how much this means to me! I was really happy to see your mention in my messages! You have definitely made
my mood with this and I felt totally grateful with not only your mention but also the fact that you are giving a
link to the description! I hope more people would get to see this small story of mine!
I still can't find the proper words to thank you!
Even if in my original idea of that Confrontation story, I did not imagine Phobos fully possessing him, this looks
extremely interesting and so SOOOO dramatic! I love it! (you know how much I love good drama! )
Indeed in my story I had planned Dante would visit the prison repetedly and listen to Phobos, while, like his
mother before him, will find a good listener in Phobos, till finally his mind is full of doubts and perhaps hidden
anger, desperation and frustration. I imagined he would be absolutely conscious when he released Phobos
from his cell and confronted his mother however this one is so beautiful but I cannot help myself!
Oh poor Dante! !!! I love it how you made his face almost crazy, it is as if he is laughing at her face bitterly!
I loved it how you made his eyes glassy, to point out that he is being hypnotized and stuff and how they even
appear to slightly glow green to point out Phobos's influence behind him! I also loved the detail of the tears
of his flowing down his cheeks! It is the scene of absolute difference! The face of absolute, sardonic pleasure
and the tears of loneliness, frustration sorrow and maybe even guilt!
Dante's hair appear to be floating so beautifully as if he is underwater!! Oh goodness I love it! . It seems
so soft and so light and the way they are floating all around him is even "creepy" because they appear like being
lifted by some unknown presense or some...spirit! Uncle Phobos!!! ()
Ohhhhh! You used the "Queen Mother" term I used at my one-shot!! I was inspired by the "Doll of Meridian"
and now you were inspired by me... Awww I feel so honored! Thank you so much! It adds even more drama
in it and even more shock to poor Elyon's face that her son who adored her now calls her so formally as if mocking her!!
Even the fact that he looks so HUGE compared to her...it is like strandling over her, like Elyon, the once all-powerful
Queen of Meridian is now small before him, weak before his new rage and his new mockenry and she seems so
shocked by it she can't even move closer and touch him! In fact the energy around him is like saying "Don't
touch me! Don't come any closer!"
Ohhhhh! The second pannel!!!! He has grabbed her, hasn't he?! I mean his face is now closer and Elyon's torso
is slightly lifted up, so that leaves no other explanation that he has grabed her and pulled her closer to him violently!!
Here you have manifested all the emotions, my dear!! The absolute rage in Dante's face in absolute union
with Phobos and the absolute terror in Elyon's face are simpky beyond words! I think Elyon is having a stroke and a
heart attack at the same time here and no kidding!!! It is like she has seen a ghost, which in fact she has!!! I mean
it even I felt a chill here! Imagine how she feels! Cause I think her face is not only the fear and shock but also guilt.
She had tried for years protecting her son from the rage of her brother and now she sees this...and way worse!
It is like every spark of life is drained from her as she sees this! And who wouldn't feel like that in the first place!!
Phobos right behind looks absolutely AMAZING!!!!! You really killed me!
The dialogue in old English is absolutely amazing! I loved the idea and it makes it even more dramatic! First because
Dante would NEVER be so formal with his mother so she knows from the start that something is wrong and also because
it somehow reminds of some old chanting, as if chanting from the Bible or something! (Alright random example! )
but this is what feeling it gave me. It is like Phobos is chanting a spell, as if his voice comes from some other world instead
Plus I think it symbolizes of how LONG Phobos has suffered with his own demons while he had no one else by him.
I know it is kinda random and it might sound silly but I think besides show off, Phobos chose those words to give more
power to his words and also to symbolize of how long he has passed in the shadow of a baby that was not yet born to
begin with and somehow make Elyon "regret" it somehow! (which he succeeds! )
Oh GOD!
You have no idea how much it means that you were inspired for SUCH a wonderful pic from my small fanfic!!!
I was almost like this: deep inside my mind when I saw this!!!

Aw, poor sweet Dante! I'm kinda glad that you also decided to tackle the hardships of being a male royal in Meridian in your AU story! I find stuff like this more interesting for things involving Phobos' past than simply making him out to be a spoiled sociopath. Say, one question though, why is Phobos/Dante speaking to Ely in old English?

ZarahX In reply to Arts-Of-Metamoor [2017-10-01 00:34:11 +0000 UTC]
I think that's why Making male Escanor ocs can have tons of potential for interesting fanfics! I kind of thought it a tad strange they never tackled these kinds of issues or why Elyon is never shown to ask these kinds of questions in the comic series. I guess it's perfect that you made her have a son then, now she will know things from a different perspective!
Heh, I kind of wonder if Elyon had a hard time using old English for royal announcements or something! XD (Probably felt like English class for her all over again!)
On a side note, this tradition of using that kind of speech reminds me of how Princess Luna (from My little pony) would use the booming equestria voice for addressing citizens! (If you don't know what this is, you can just ignore this last part..)
