Description I wanted to depict a scenery in completely different color palette. I am exploring what contrast really means, and how it affects the mood. I always thought putting lots of darks and hi-key contrast really improves the image, but I am actually starting to doubt it . Nothing is an ultimate truth I guess. No rules!

I really love your style, its so lose and yet so detailed all in one shot... The peace of it reminds me of being back home. I live in the woods nothing close to your work but the peace of it brings me back to sitting in the grass looking at trees. This is great work!

It's so high key!! Great work. That kinda stuff is so hard to achieve with traditional media. Nice job

I think you're on to something. Those Gnomon dvds will help you out too. Which ones are you getting? I have some in mind that I could recommend.

I have seen some of them already and each one gives something into my artistic knowledge. Suprisingly, the more I know the more I can suck from them. I just read their words with more conciousness. I remember watching Dylan Cole sketching a few years ago... It was just spiritual experience, but I understand what he meant years later You gonna have a pretty big pile of them right now Which were the most influential for you?

I have only been able to watch a few of the dvds so far but the ones that have impacted me the most at this point have been: Practical Light and Color, Dylan Cole's Intro to Landscape Matte Painting, and From Speed Paint to Concept Art (just because his brush creation tutorial is so solid).

It looks a lot like things you could find in Switzerland, more specifically in the Urner Alps and around the Urner Lake

somehow this makes me sleepy.. maybe there's just something safe and secure about this picture.

In other words; I wish it was the view outside my window

Naaah, Sleepy window-view is not something I would recommend. But even if that was my view, I wouldn't get sleepy because of my computer noise.
