Now i will share you something which is common between us... I did a drawing similar to ur subject and the title also similiar to it 'Innocent Love' and the reason for doing it is also similar to you, as my close friend's sis was about to deliver a baby that time!!!!

I understand that, it was very emotional for me too, while doing 'Innocent Love' portrait...
More than that my sis was very happy with the outcome, she was almost 9 months pregnant when i completed that work... She was thrilled... She delivered a boy baby after few days...
So, i can understand your feeling too...
But the coincidence of our both the drawing was surprising to me...
You truly deserve it...

I perfectly like your smooth blending of shading on mother's face, though I personally think there could be more contrast around her eye and nose to more precisely define their shape. Also, I realize that actually, what you've drawn can look the same in reference.(sometimes it's better to bit alter it from reference to achieve better look... and yeah, I don't remember doing it myself, I'm just telling it to everybody 
Anyway, it is very nice and emotional drawing
