Beautiful...any vase would be lucky to be nestled in there.

I love the way the glass and the metal work together, the kind of crystalline clarity and sharpness of the glass flower and the soft, enwrapping, organic style of the metal leaves...

The glass has a bit of a twist to it. i tried to follow that feel as thought it twisted as it 'grew'. thanx again

so you need a membership to write a critique, and I don't feel like paying for it, so I'll do one here.

I love the mix of the metal and glass- the natural shapes of the metal is astounding to me, I love how you can make it look so fluid. the one thing that does bother me, and maybe you can do another to try it out, is that the glass isn't either fluid enough of a shape or square enough. I would go for an extreme- glass shaped very organically to match your metal style, or glass that is very square and structured to complement the metal.

years of art classes can come in handy sometimes, critiquing is easy for me now!

I totally agree with your critique. Have wanted to purchase some good hand blown glass, but most of it is very expensive. So i attempted the next best thing by purchasing something from a shop. I had decided after doing this vase, not to purchase 'manufactured' glass. it just doesn't 'fit'. so, either stick with metals, or wait till i can afford to purchase art glass. thanks for confirming my suspicions....it's always good to have someone else take a look at what you do.
