Description My tulips dying in the absence of light. I cannot chase the clouds away, I can only witness their ending.
I was thinking that they looked a lot like me these days. Perhaps I am them.
It's an ordinary photo, but I took it as a self portrait.

This is terrific; good evocation of starvation, emotional or physical.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it, I'm not a good photographer so your comment is really encouraging.

this is a very good photo.  technique is nice, but always secondary to emotional impact.  you have ideas and an eye; you're ahead of most.

This is melancholy and subtle... I like how minimalistic the picture is yet it conveys a feeling. It's odd to see a black-and-white picture of tulips though, as they are so colorful. What colour are they?

The tulips were red with yellow, but you can't see different shades in they black and white photo. I thought that color doesn't match their sadness.

I understand... in any case, it's a beautiful picture. I have had sad times too. But hey, you can write to me about it if it helps.

Sadness tends to soften and loneliness becomes less frightening with friends around

Aww! Yeah, I can agree with that.

Unlike the tulips my dear, you will stand up and feel better again.

Surprisingly, today they came back to life, so they were faster than me; now they look like an S, curved downwards and then up.
On the other hand, a day o sadness in their life is equal to 10 years of ours..

Wow that's neat that they came back to life! Sometimes, even when we are facing downwards, we can still absorb some sunshine, as the light reflects off of the water.

I like the way that sounds, we can benefit even from sadness (at least my artistic self does).

They remind me of ballet dancers feet when stood on point...

Lovely image.

Indeed, they do touch the table gently and gracefully

Flowers need light. So do people.

I don't know, some people don't seem interested in it.

I typically stay in a state of doubt unless/until I find someone with whom I feel I can let my guard down.
